Instrument Rating - Single Engine Piston (IR-SEP)

The IR/SEP(A) training course aims to upgrade the student pilot’s level of proficiency to the necessary standards for operating Single Engine Piston (SEP) airplanes under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), while flying Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) with a minimum decision height of no less than 200 feet (60 m).

Duration

1 - 2 Months

Course

  • 15 hrs Single Engine Piston (SEP)

  • 39 hrs flight simulator (FNPT II), including PBN training

Entry Requirements

  • EASA Private Pilot Licence PPL(A)

  • EASA Medical Certificate
    Class 1 or 2 

​

  • Night rating
    (if the IR privileges
     
    will be used at night)

​

  • 50 hrs cross-country flight time as pilot in command (PIC) in aeroplanes​​​
